Can I submit a project?
Everyone can submit a project! It can be a capital project, a social program, service, or activity within the city/county of Philadelphia. You can apply as an individual, a group of individuals, or an organization. And there’s no fee to apply!

How easy is it to submit a project?
Visit Leave a Legacy on the PHILADELPHIA250 website. Submit a video or type out your answers to describe your project–a bold idea, initiative, or innovation–on our online platform SlideRoom.

What are the questions on the submission form?

How are projects being evaluated?
Projects will be evaluated in the following criteria: Project Relevance, Community Impact, Legacy Potential, and Team Capabilities.

Our idea needs seed funding…
Perfect! If you are selected to be a Semifinalist Promise Project Team, you will be awarded a stipend to participate in a Project Incubation Phase. The PHILADELPHIA250 Leave a Legacy Seed Fund of $125,000 is supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and The Philadelphia Foundation and will be allocated proportionally based on the selected Semifinalist Project Teams (up to 16).

Are there any important dates?
Apply to the PART 1, Preliminary Review (closes May 1) as soon as you can! it is a rolling-submission process, we will be sending out invitations to PART 2, Proposal Submission on a weekly basis to give applicants as much time as possible to submit your full proposal by May 20). Can I see what project ideas have been submitted?
COMING SOON…Project ideas and team contact information will be available for public viewing to encourage connection and collaboration across the city.
