To mark this once in a generation opportunity, PHILADELPHIA250 will leave behind a legacy of positive social transformation for Philadelphians by intentionally cultivating a community of social impact programs.
In late 2026, PHILADELPHIA250 will report on the collective impact of these projects at our 250th closing ceremonies. We’ll share with Philadelphia and the country a dashboard of impact that demonstrates how all of these projects have and will continue to contribute to a stronger, better Philadelphia long past the 250th. It will establish the 250th as a new, community-centric model for how we recognize major anniversaries and events in Philadelphia.
The model and inspiration for the 250th Legacy Community come from the Legacies for the 250th selected by PHILADELPHIA250 in late 2022, the culmination of a yearlong competitive process.
